Chamonix Mont Blanc is well known for its steep skiing. off piste skiing however, unlike most other skiing resorts, its ski domains are unlinked.

In fact Chamonix has 5 different skiing mountains - Les Montets, Les Houches, south facing Brevent, Le Flegere and last but not least Le Tour - only two are interconnected, and this involves catching a free shuttle bus or driving to and from the different mountains.

Thus finding your way around can prove difficult, and a knowledge of the areas surely would help.

If the group is unaccustomed to skiing holidays then paying for skiing lessons with a skiing school wouldn’t be a bad idea, they can suggest to you on which lift pass to look into.

Obviously a a Chamonix ski map of the area will be convenient, ski maps can be picked up from the Chamonix tourist office or from all of the lift stations.

You’ll then need to head to a ski hire shop to hire some ski gear, and there is a broad range of ski shops in Chamonix Mont Blanc to pick out there really shouldn’t any difficulty.

Later on it is of importance to confirm the weather forecast, ski conditions or a webcam, since Chamonix Mont Blanc is a high altitude snowboarding area so the atmospheric conditions change quickly and dramatically.

Should you are going to Chamonix France for a week’s break or a short ski trip you will determine that there is enough to entertain you.
